FAQs
For what division should I register my child(ren)?
It depends upon your child and their experience. Young children (ages 4-6) who have never played baseball would probably do best in T-Ball. If your 5-7 year old has played a year of T-Ball and was beginning to get better at hitting, catching, and throwing then s/he may be ready to move up to Minor AA Coach Pitch. 8 year old's can play Coach Pitch or Player Pitch depending upon their experience, but keep in mind that players can throw much faster than the coaches generally do. 9-10 year old's belong in Minor AAA Player Pitch, even if they lack experience. Very talented 10 year old's may register for Majors, but can just as easily remain in Minor AAA as an advanced player. 11-12 year old's usually belong in Majors. 13 year old's can play either 50-70 or Seniors. Seniors is more advanced with ages 13-16 whereas 50-70 is an easier level for players ages 11-13. Players in Majors, 50-70, and Seniors can elect to play in multiple divisions during a single season. At the beginning of the season, the coaches will evaluate their players and suggest moves (either up or down divisions) that should be made.
Please be sure to register for the correct division for your child. If you want your child in a higher or lower division, please register in the correct division, then send an email request to

with your requested division. Please include details on why the player should be in a different division. Plan to attend the Player Evaluation Day on January 23, 2021. AMLL will always do our best to ensure each child is in an appropriate division based on age, experience and skill level.
Can my daughter play?
Absolutely! We offer co-ed T-Ball baseball teams, and Girls Softball Coach Pitch and Player Pitch teams. Some of the younger baseball teams in our league have girl players.
What's my child's league age?
Little League determines your child's age based on how old they will be on August 31st of the current year.

What's the time commitment like?

What equipment does my child need?

When does the season begin/end?
