Ave Maria Little League

What level should I register my kid for?
It depends a lot on your child and their experience.  Young children (ages 4-6) who have never played baseball before would probably do best in t-ball.  If your 5-7 year old has played a year of t-ball and was beginning to get good a hitting, catching, and throwing then they may be ready to move up to Minor coach pitch.  8 year olds can play coach pitch or kid pitch depending on their experience, but keep in mind that kids can throw much faster than the coaches generally do.  9-10 year olds belong in kid pitch, even if they lack experience.  Very talented 10 year olds may register for majors, but can just as easily remain in minors as a star player.  11-12 year olds usually belong in Majors.  13 year olds can play either 50-70 or Seniors.  Seniors is more advanced with ages 13-16 whereas 50-70 is an easier level for players ages 11-13.  Players in Majors, 50-70, and Seniors can elect to play in multiple divisions during a single season.  At the beginning of the season, the coaches will evaluate their players and suggest moves (either up or down divisions) that should be made.

Can my daughter play?
Absolutely!  Many teams in our division have girl players.  Additionally, beginning in the spring of 2020, we will be offering girls softball.
